30 Day Smoothie Challenge

Something I completely forgot to tell you guys about: I'll be taking part in a 30 day smoothie challenge starting today, 6 May 2013. I found the challenge on another healthy living blog, Kobi's Kitchen. If you've been through my blog before you might remember that my attempt at a similar challenge last March was not very successful; hence, I am giving it another go now. 

Basically what I'm aiming for is having just smoothies for my three meals at least for the first week or so. As time goes on and as project deadlines get closer, I may or may not end up munching on a few apples and carrots along the way. It might seem a bit weird that I'm doing this challenge smack bang in the middle of the most stressful time during semester, but I think smoothies instead of salads for lunch and dinner will give me a bit more time to do what I've got to do to finish all my work on time. Seriously, I got an extra 1.5 hours of work by simply drinking my meal instead of munching on it (I'm a slow eater). I hope that makes sense. Yes?  Yes. Good.

So... Day 1.

 Persimmon banana smoothie for breakfast, beet 'n berry for lunch, and a three green+pear smoothie for dinner. Feeling pretty good, since I'm not craving solid food at the moment. Success! *does a little victory dance*

Anyway, I should head off to bed now and get ready for day 2. I'm thinking citrus+green tea+ ginger, orange carrot(haha, orange...carrot, get it? No? Not funny? Ok), and perhaps a green banana spirulina for din. Nom. Don't worry; I'll post some smoothie recipes sometime, but ta ta for now!
